On 12th November 2024 based on input sources received by COB RRC and Shaibol regarding smuggling of areca nuts through Lamlong Khunou Tengnoupal District launched search operation and found 35 trucks loaded with areca nuts After thorough search of the trucks it was found that the truck drivers fled away
The areca nuts were being handed over to Tengnoupal Forest Division
Hence a case is being filed under Machi Range

Formally seized 6800 bags areca nuts along with 35 trucks for further investigation The seized items are currently standing at the place of seizure till transportation up to custody of this office
