Seizure of illegal timbers Teak Fanta on the way from Nongman to Imphal via Shangshak

Seizure of illegal timbers in transit from Choro village to Imphal via Kangpat-Khambi-Shangshak village. As per the information from a reliable sources about illegal timber movement around Phungyar Range of Kamjong district, the RFO Phungyar and his team rushed towards the spot. On the way to the spot, the 24 Assam Rifle informed the team about the interception of 2 (two) truck loads of timber in transit at Shangshak check post. The 24 AR handed over the said timber along with the trucks and the accused person involved in the illegal activities to the RFO Phungyar and his team. After further investigation the team identified the accused as Mr. Ableson MC (Worshang MC) aged 58 yrs s/o Solomon MC of Khambi village who is the owner of the timber (Teak Fanta). Vehicle1- NL-07A 2292 (52 nos of teak Fanta of total approx. vol of 4.457 cum)
Vehicle2- AS-09 C 8066 (62 nos. of Teak Fanta of total approx. vol of 4.846 cum)

The team lead by RFO Phungyar seized all the timber Fanta (Teak) of total approx 9.303 cum along with the 2 trucks and booked Forest Offence vide offence report no 4/2022-23 o/o RFO Phungyar Range dt. 24th Dec, 2022. The seizure details are here as under

The accused person i.e. Mr. Ableson MC (Worshang MC) aged 58 yrs s/o Solomon MC of Khambi village was charged under Section 41, 45, 52 of IFA 1927 and Rule no. 33 of MFR 1971. Accordingly the 2 (two) trucks along with the timbers was seized for further legal procedure.
