Sealing of illegal functioning Saw mill seizure of the timber involved in the offence

On 7th March 2022 Kamjong Forest Division team under the RFO Phungyar Range went for regular saw mill inspection The team inspected the saw mill starting from Koso village till Khambi village Majority of the saw mill was non functional One saw mill at shakok village under the ownership of Mr Yireishang was functioning with a claim and earnest request to Forest Department that Shakok VA Resolved to harvest the village jurisdiction timber for only local use and are not meant for further transportation outside the Shakok village and upon such activities of transportation outside Shakok village will be penalised as per their VA resolution So as per Sec 41,42,52 & 53 of IFA 1927 & Rule no. 33 of MFR 1971 the timber available there at saw mill was seized approx of 11 cum of A2 classPine and the same POR was submitted to DFO Kamjong as per POR 11 2021 2022 dt 7 march 2022 for further necessary action

All the illegal functioning saw mill was sealed and the timber stock available there, was also seized (approx of 11.42 cum of A2 class -pine, timber) and accordingly POR was submitted to DFO/Kamjong as per POR ono. 11/2021-22 O/o RFO Phungyar Range for further necessary action at the earliest.
