Seizure of all illegal timber with no hammer mark from Wood Based Industries ie Ms Mingthing Saw Mill of Shangshak MIE Kamjong Forest Division

With reference to the letter no.6/8/2018/KFD dt 29th Oct, 2021 O/o Divisional Forest Officer, Kamjong , the Phungyar RFO along with his team inspected the WBIs (M/s Mingthing Saw Mill under Shangsahk MIE) on 30th Oct, 2021. The team investigated Mr. Ngaranmi (caretaker of M/s Mingthing Saw Mill, Shangshak) of Shangshak village and he was charged for violation of IFA 1927 by the investigation officer since the saw mill was unable to produce a valid documents for the possession of ‘timber logs with no department hammer mark’ on them. The said illegal timber of C class (Ucham) available there at the saw mill during the inspection was seized which measures approx. 326 cft (9.25 cum), of total 6 (six) logs.

All the illegal timber logs (C class) with no hammer marks was seized i.e approx.326 cft (9.25 cum), of total 6 (six) logs.
