Illegal splitting Pine logs and cutting standing Pine trees

On 8th November 2020 about 10.22am received an information from social media for illegal splitting Pine logs and cutting standing Pine trees at Warok Ching, Keirao Wangkhem under Waithou PF comp't no. 8 of Yairipok block. Therefrom, a team of Thoubal Range staffs led by S. Shamungou Singh Range Forest Officer, Thoubal went to the spot and detected 3 nos of Pine trees were laid there and 7 nos of standing Pine trees fell along with setting a sawpit for manually to splitting of Pine logs. But the team could not find any miscreants there. After the dismantled the sawpit and interrogated a person namely Shri Ngashekpam Raju Singh 35 yrs S/o (L) Ng. Ito Singh R/o Nongbram Yairipok, Imphal East District as a watchman of Duck farm, who was dwelling near by the sawpit. He told that he did not know who has done the illegal activity and came here 10 (Ten) days back.
