illegal excavation and open mining stone quarry

On 1st October 2020 by a combined Team of Thoubal Range Staffs went to patrolling under Thoubal Range jurisdiction of Tentha area under compt no. 18 of yairipok block. They reached at Tentha Chingya area and detected some places had been excavated and open mining Stone quarries in there. After they came back to office and reported to Range Forest Officer Thoubal. Thereafter the Range Officer and subordinate staffs went to the spot and inquired it was found that the work has been done by the namely Shri Thongam Selendra Singh 40 yrs S/o (L) Th. Gandhar Singh of Tentha Khunjao. After they measured and found approximately 0.05 acre had excavated and having volume 297 m3. Later the Range Officer Thoubal has sent summon and booked an offence under section 41(1) and 42 of Indian Forest Act 1927 and sec 2 of FCA 1980 along Rule no. 33 of Manipur Forest Rules 1971 and any relevant rules.
